FAQ

Q. How does a family session work?
A. I will capture you in any environment, whether that’s inside the comfort of your own home or outside for a mountain adventure.  From a day in the life, newborn snuggles, spending a lazy morning together, your child’s first time on skis, or even wandering outside, I will capture your family and choice of scene to create a unique moving memory to watch as the years pass by.  I will spend anywhere from 2-4 hours with you depending on the activity and edit a 3-5 minute film with licensed music you can share online for you and your loved ones to enjoy. This is a true passion for me and my goal is to create something even better than photos to pull at your heart strings.
Q. What equipment do you use?
A. I shoot with a Canon Mark IV and usually my 35 mm lens unless outside then I use my 70-200 2.8 Canon lens. I also use tripods and stabilizers for a more finished look especially for brand films. I don’t use artificial light and shoot in manual settings that allow me to shoot after sunset especially for events such as a wedding.
Q. What do you base your prices from?
A. Time. Everyone’s time is valuable and the editing process for a film takes hours upon hours.  Licensing music is not free with some songs costing up to $200 for exclusive rights. I am also a registered business and pay taxes.

Q. What kind of photos do you offer?
A. I offer a documentary style of photography if booked in unison with a family film. The candid moments are my favorite to capture for the family album or framed memories for your home.
Q. How long does it take for my video to be completed?
A. Most projects are complete within four weeks or sooner. Weddings and brand films may vary.
